5 techniques to increase credibility of your website

If you want to start a business through online channels, especially through a website, the reliability of the website must also be considered. If a website appears dishonest or unreliable, customers or visitors to the website might think that it is a fake or dangerous website.


Below are 5 simple techniques to make your website appear more reliable and increase customer trust.


1. give contact information


One of the most important things to gain customers' trust is to give them the information where they can contact you. This should include email, phone number and address. You can also include the contact person's name and last name, company registration number and VAT number.


2. design the website to fit your business.


Are you in an industry that requires high credibility, such as accounting and auditing firms, corporate management, law firms, or consulting firms? If so, a solid style, cleanliness, and a not-too-bright color scheme might be a good fit for the business type. On the other hand, if you're in a creative industry like fashion, marketing, art or entertainment, you might want to show your creativity through galleries and videos and an additional element that highlights the creativity of your brand.


3. constantly update your website


Have you been to a website before and then realized that the last update was 8 years ago? And you're not sure if the company is still up and running today? That's something you might want to avoid with your website. Updating information, such as blog posts or even seasonal banners (Christmas, Easter, etc.) or new promotions, can make customers feel like the company is active and responsive to them.

The "Team" or "About Us" page lets customers get closer to the company. We tend to feel comfortable when we see the team and learn the history of the company. It can give a friendly vibe to customers and make them feel connected to the company when they know the story and the team.


5. show customer reviews


Another way to gain trust is to show the reviews of other customers. People tend to trust and feel more confident when they see good opinions or experiences from others in their situation. The best way to do this is to post short quotes and reviews. Make sure they are your own words from your customers. E.g. from Google Reviews or a specially designed survey.
