If you are creating your own website, here is a checklist of 10 important elements to have on your homepage:

1. Logo

The role of the logo is to remind visitors of your brand and show your brand identity. The recognition value creates trust.

2. Website menu

You should structure your website well and display this structure through a menu to make it easier for visitors to understand how to browse your website or get to the information they are looking for. However, we are aware that adding too many menus can lead to confusion for website users. If they don't find what they are looking for, they will simply leave the website. Therefore, the menu should be simple, clear and direct.

3. Main banner

The main banner is usually located below the menu. It is a good place where you can show the main theme of your website and color tone that creates the mood you want the customer to perceive.

4. Headline

A headline on the home page makes it easier for your website visitors to recognize the message of your website and know what this website is about. It can also hint them if they will find the answer they might be looking for here.

If your website has a main theme and clear subtitles with H1 and H2 tags, this will help Google to know your website better and thus increase your chances of ranking better in Google.

5. Content

The content on your homepage helps visitors get to know your business better. These are the contents that you should put on the homepage:

- Who you are and what you do

- Benefits of using your products and services

- News/updates/promotions

- Contact link or details and location

One of the most important things you should include in the content is keywords. This will also help you with Google ranking.

6. Call to action

Once visitors know what your website is about, it's time to tell them what to do next. This may seem like common sense, but asking your visitors to take action can improve your conversion rate. This can be text, a button, or a pop-up bar: for example, "Contact us now for a free consultation," "Book today at 15% off," or "Sign up now for a personalized quote," etc.

7. Social proof/review

Social proof or reviews from customers can build credibility for new visitors. They show that your business is active and up-to-date.

8. Portfolio

Another way to gain trust and show your niche to your website visitors is to show your work. Put what you have done on the website. This is also a great way to filter out and get quality leads. Because everyone has different priority points.

9. Blog

Blog posts show visitors that the website is active and up to date and help with Google SEO if the blog content is something your leads might be looking for. This is one of the ways to drive visitors to your website.

10. Footer

The footer of the website is more important than you might think. It is not only used to show the copyright or the bottom of the website, but also to direct visitors to other pages, such as terms and conditions and social media.

Usually, website owners put the following in the footer: Name, logo, contact information, link to other pages, social media and copyrights.
